For the second straight year in LIV Golf, Jon Rahm surged from behind to capture the season-long individual championship, edging out Joaquin Niemann.
Rahm delivered a spectacular final round at LIV Golf Indy, firing an 11-under 60 that included 10 birdies, an eagle, and just one bogey at the Club at Chatham Hills. His charge tied him at 22 under with Sebastian Muñoz, who had made headlines on Friday after carding a remarkable 59.
Although Muñoz went on to claim his first LIV Golf victory in a one-hole playoff, Rahm had already secured the season-long crown thanks to Niemann’s T-4 finish.
For Rahm, it marked his second consecutive runner-up result and third of the season. Despite not winning an individual event all year, his remarkable consistency carried him—finishing inside the top 10 in 12 of his 13 starts.
Rahm and Niemann entered the week as the only players still in contention for the title. Niemann, who captured five LIV Golf wins this season, began with a 12-point lead in the standings. By Sunday’s end, however, Rahm edged him out by just 2.48 points.
