Defending Indianapolis 500 champion Alex Palou added another chapter to his incredible IndyCar run by capturing the pole position for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Palou, the reigning Indy 500 winner and four-time IndyCar champion, put together a blistering qualifying run to secure the top starting spot as he looks to defend his 2025 Indianapolis 500 victory. The pole gives Palou the ideal starting position as he attempts something rarely accomplished in motorsports — back-to-back Indy 500 wins.

After finally breaking through last year with his first Indy 500 victory and becoming the first Spanish winner in race history, Palou now enters the month’s biggest race as both the defending champion and the man everyone will be chasing.

The question now: Can Alex Palou go back-to-back at Indianapolis? 🏁🥛
